Packing and moving is never fun, but having it be uncomplicated, smooth and efficient makes it bearable. Harbor Moving & Storage provided a detailed estimate, sent the requisite number of men and trucks, provided the packing supplies we asked for, and did the job in the time frame they said they would. They were reliable, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with.

They moved our house full of things from Rockville Centre NY to Duxbury, MA in a timely matter, taking care of item single item on that truck. Not one thing was broken. He helped several members of my family coordinate logistics for three separate pick-ups and four deliveries in the changing timeframes that we needed. I’ve hired several NYC based movers in the past and have always had issues.

Great experience with Harbor Moving for our local move. Ken came for an estimate and was a great price compared to others that we received. The team showed up on time, was great and efficient, making sure multiple times that we were okay, and making sure before they left that everything was perfect. They took some items to storage and the remainder to our new house. Everything went smooth and was professional. They were extremely hard workers. Would happily use Harbor again and recommend them over and over!

In the course of a week, my family moved houses and our daughter moved into her own apartment in NYC. Ken was on top of both moves with a pre-move walk through of our main move the day before and a pre-check call the day before the NYC move. His team is respectful, efficient, and continue working through out the day. They stepped up and assisted in final packing. Ken and his company took away the moving anxieties one might have. I would recommend Harbor Moving & Storage a 100 times over to anyone looking for an outstanding and reasonably priced moving company. Thanks again Ken and team.

We recently used Harbor Moving and Storage out of Syosset, NY, and I cannot say enough great things about our experience. From the first phone call with Ken, the owner, to the final delivery in Naples, Florida, the process was smooth, professional, and exceeded every expectation.
We had initially received a sky-high estimate from another moving company for a relatively small move: a few pieces of furniture and a number of boxes and bins from both our apartment and a storage unit in Long Island, headed to Naples, FL. Before committing, I decided to get a second opinion — and thankfully, I found Harbor Moving and Storage.
Ken was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful from the beginning. He explained that modern moving estimates should be based on volume, not just weight and distance, and warned that any company requiring a deposit up front might be a red flag. We had kept a good inventory of what we needed moved, and Ken quickly returned a quote that was far more reasonable than the original company.
We booked with him immediately.
Pickup day (the Monday after the 4th of July) went perfectly. The movers, Lester and Stephen, arrived early and waited until the 8 a.m. start time due to HOA rules. They were polite, upbeat, and immediately reassuring — saying, “this will be easy,” which gave me confidence. I had worked hard to pack and label things correctly (some items were going to a condo, others to storage), and they followed instructions perfectly.
The team handled everything with care, especially the furniture destined for long-term storage — they wrapped it thoroughly and thoughtfully. They worked fast and efficiently. At the second pickup location (a storage unit), they navigated a tricky street parking situation and got everything loaded within two and a half hours total.
There was a minor delay in getting the shipment down to Florida due to a driver emergency, but Ken stayed in close contact the entire time. We were flexible since we weren’t going to be in Naples to receive the delivery — our brother-in-law met the truck. Ken provided the driver’s contact info and an accurate delivery window, so we were never left wondering.
On the Florida end, they again handled the move flawlessly — even managing to unload everything into both the storage unit and our second-floor condo despite another tight parking situation. All items arrived in perfect condition, and the crew maintained a detailed inventory from start to finish.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to use Harbor Moving and Storage again, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and caring moving company. Thank you to Ken and the entire team — you made what could have been a stressful move absolutely seamless!

This was the best move I have ever had. Ken was so easy to work with. A text a phone call and an email and all was done and set. Ken accommodated us and made a last minute move happen… and for a very fair price. The crew, Dilan and George could not have been nicer. When the elevator temporarily conked out they, with a smile, said “no problem” and started to carry stuff up the stairs. Thankfully the malfunction of the elevator was short lived. These guys were amazing. You have a great crew, Ken. I will go out of my way to recommend Harbor to anyone and everyone I can think of. And the icing on the cake… My husband was so happy. Actually commented that this move could not have gone smoother. Thank you so much to Harbor, Ken, Dilan & George.
