Despite the first snow storm in January they arrived on time as promised. Their workers are quick & efficient and are very pleasant to deal with. This company was absolutely AMAZING. I recently moved long-distance from north to south and they exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient.

Ken at Harbor and his crew were thoroughly professional, courteous, and did everything to make sure that we had as good an experience as anyone can expect given the inherent discomfort of moving.
They made sure we were happy at every stage, safely packed loose items that were inadvertently overlooked, and repeatedly went the extra mile to make everything right.
I can genuinely say that every crew member, from the foreman on, was pleasant, accommodating, and more cheerful than I could imagine. That's not even considering the back breaking work that this is, which could make the most well disposed person grumpy. They were anything but; they somehow seemed to be enjoying themselves. I really came to admire them.
On top of that, they were the most competitive with pricing and didn't nickel and dime us over extras. Considering the work that was involved, which was much more than we expected when vetting moving companies, we felt like we got a very fair price. The move took a solid 12 hours and two large trucks with 7 men for context.
Ken even came later himself to make sure everything was gong well and personally assisted his men at times. You could tell that made them happy to work for him, and happy employees make for better employees.

My mom and family used this company to move to South Carolina and Florida. Picking up the furniture everything was well. They came with 5 men and packed everything up onto a Penseke Truck not even a company owned truck. Was told there furniture was going to stay on one truck but that didn't happen. My mom's furniture stayed on the Penseke all the way down to South Carolina. When truck arrived there was only 1 man and 1 woman to unload the truck. My brother and I had to help move in the furniture. My mom had broken totes and some stuff missing. She was also charged 500 dollars more for the delivery. I don't think that was fair since my brother and I had to help carry the furniture upstairs. My Uncle and Aunt finally got there stuff a few weeks later on a different truck. They ended up having 3 men and they also had broken totes and some totes were turned upside down. Which they opened up the totes and some stuff was broken.

In the course of a week, my family moved houses and our daughter moved into her own apartment in NYC. Ken was on top of both moves with a pre-move walk through of our main move the day before and a pre-check call the day before the NYC move. We recently used Harbor Moving and Storage out of Syosset, NY, and I cannot say enough great things about our experience. From the first phone call with Ken, the owner, to the final delivery in Naples, Florida, the process was smooth, professional, and exceeded every expectation.
We had initially received a sky-high estimate from another moving company for a relatively small move: a few pieces of furniture and a number of boxes and bins from both our apartment and a storage unit in Long Island, headed to Naples, FL. Before committing, I decided to get a second opinion — and thankfully, I found Harbor Moving and Storage.
Ken was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful from the beginning. He explained that modern moving estimates should be based on volume, not just weight and distance, and warned that any company requiring a deposit up front might be a red flag. We had kept a good inventory of what we needed moved, and Ken quickly returned a quote that was far more reasonable than the original company.
We booked with him immediately.
Pickup day (the Monday after the 4th of July) went perfectly. The movers, Lester and Stephen, arrived early and waited until the 8 a.m. start time due to HOA rules. They were polite, upbeat, and immediately reassuring — saying, “this will be easy,” which gave me confidence. I had worked hard to pack and label things correctly (some items were going to a condo, others to storage), and they followed instructions perfectly.
The team handled everything with care, especially the furniture destined for long-term storage — they wrapped it thoroughly and thoughtfully. They worked fast and efficiently. At the second pickup location (a storage unit), they navigated a tricky street parking situation and got everything loaded within two and a half hours total.
There was a minor delay in getting the shipment down to Florida due to a driver emergency, but Ken stayed in close contact the entire time. We were flexible since we weren’t going to be in Naples to receive the delivery — our brother-in-law met the truck. Ken provided the driver’s contact info and an accurate delivery window, so we were never left wondering.
On the Florida end, they again handled the move flawlessly — even managing to unload everything into both the storage unit and our second-floor condo despite another tight parking situation. All items arrived in perfect condition, and the crew maintained a detailed inventory from start to finish.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to use Harbor Moving and Storage again, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and caring moving company. Thank you to Ken and the entire team — you made what could have been a stressful move absolutely seamless!

This was the best move I have ever had. Ken was so easy to work with. A text a phone call and an email and all was done and set. Ken accommodated us and made a last minute move happen… and for a very fair price. The crew, Dilan and George could not have been nicer. When the elevator temporarily conked out they, with a smile, said “no problem” and started to carry stuff up the stairs. Thankfully the malfunction of the elevator was short lived. These guys were amazing. You have a great crew, Ken. I will go out of my way to recommend Harbor to anyone and everyone I can think of. And the icing on the cake… My husband was so happy.
